3/13/25 --- Lamenting my locked accounts, to some extent. I've been reading a lot of great ecchi manga lately and want to talk about them, but very few people will see it; My Dreamwidth is about the only place I feel comfortable talking about any NSFW topics. If you're a fandom person who isn't happy with modern pearl-clutching, I recommend Dreamwidth. Maybe fandom NEEDS to be decentralized and semi-private, no matter how "used to" modern socmed you've gotten. In fact, now's the time for you to stop being stubborn about it and bail. Join Dreamwidth or InsaneJournal, make your own website, and archive your work. Stop relying on Discord servers (did you already forget what happened to Skype?), tumblr, and Twitter. "bUt mY fRiEnDs aRe ThErE" then convince them to move. Idc if it's your business; Elon and the other fascists are going to make sure us queer folk are run into the ground, so you better start figuring that out now.
I'm bitter about where we are in history, and where I personally have ended up, but others don't have to deal with it. Just act. Move. Speak out. Stand up for yourselves, ffs.
I'll probably look into other sites where I could blog NSFW stuff safely (without censorship), but right now Dreamwidth is our best bet.
2/25/25 --- Removed my RONOAE presence from YCH.ART and replaced it with my general adopt sellers info (same account, just changed the info). If I ever do NSFW comms again, it'll be privately or through YCH.COMMISHES. I really have no interest in NSFW these days, though. I think I got burnt out from the discourse + losing my customers to cheaper alternatives + being traumatized by people trying to push the "yeah we like x in fiction and YES that means we wanna hurt people irl :3" crowd. I lament my sexy works immensely. :(
I still have my AD Dreanwidth, though. My AO3 still exists, and so does my SqW, but neither are active/going to be active anytime soon afaik. :c Still, I genuinely miss doing comms, SFW or otherwise. If I had the energy I'd advertise myself again, but god knows being an American living in the American Economy means I can't compete with the current price racket or the "content machine" creators... no shade to them, get that bread, but it's been rough for the rest of us. I miss the time before fandom/niche interests like these were corporatized.
1/1/25 --- Left most online spaces and placed what remains behind authorizations. While I don't know if I could ever truly "wipe" my history from the net (and don't really want to, as I find it disingenuous at best, hurtful to my sense of self at worst), I'd rather lay low. I'm no longer making "content," either, so little to nothing has been lost. Let's go back to small, tight-knit communities for a while.
?/?/24 --- Removed any pages discussing AI chat bots and programs. While my feelings on generative AI is pretty similar to other artists (i.e. fuck you), I still understand the merit of chat bots. Granted, until the AIs can be trained ethically, made available to everyone, and not suck up so much energy and resources that it could power a small country, I don't feel comfortable with it. Still, I want to suggest we not meet well-meaning or ignorant people with hostility, lest we want to radicalize them into AIbros. Also, there's no such thing as an "AI artist" or "AI writer." // I found myself rewriting well over 80% of AI chat RPs I did anyway, so this is no real loss to me. Hopefully I poisoned the data with some porn, at least! :)
4/12/24 --- Website updates: A 88x31 button (feel free to add me to your webring!), "dictionary" page to explain insular/niche subculture terms, and the renaming of my stuff from "CONTENT" to "MY WORK."
4/11/24 --- I have removed my presence from Baraag and will try to do so for POMF. I will not be part of websites which cater to harmful ideologies and photorealistic CSAM. Realistic AI is trained on CSAM (cartoon works are likely trained on cartoons, primraily, so I take less issue there). My takes on AI haven't changed much, we need to demand ethics, remove scraping, and if it doesn't result in human leasure-- burn it the fuck down.
10/8/22 --- Added /roleplay.html, /blog.html, /shop.html, and /content.html to site. Fixed < /div> issue on content page.
